Leaving on a Jet Plane
In about two months I'm joining the parents on a short week-long tour around Britain. We are also throwing in a day-trip to Paris and two free days in London.
There is so much to do and see in Paris! How I would love to visit Paris for four weeks.
Wanderlust is not really something I've had. I suppose people expect young people short on funds to stay in hostels, go backpacking, eat in cheap pubs. Unfortunately, that's not me. I prefer more family friendly hotels or maybe motels, nice bistros or cafes or restaurants. Museums and architecture. Markets and shopping. Gardens and parks. People watching. Not clubbing, drinking or getting boisterous in a backpacker hostel. I'm not a fan of rushing around seeing places unless it's on an organised tour. If I had to plan my own itinerary, it would be several days of exploring and experiencing a place.
So this is a list of countries, cities, places and monuments of history I hope to see before I get to rickety for travelling:
1) Japan - in particular Tokyo and the gardens in and around Kyoto.
2) Petra, Jordan
3) Egypt
4) Turkey
5) France
6) Spain
7) Portugal
8) Northern lights in Norway
9) Italy
10) Switzerland
11) Germany - in particular Munich and Berlin
12) USA - ooh, so many places - New York, San Francisco, Boston, New Orleans, Charlotte
13) Machu picchu
14) Patagonia
15) Brazil
16) Canada
17) UK and Ireland
18) Tanzania
19) Mauritius
20) China
21) India
22) South Korea
23) Iran
24) Mongolia
These are merely places off the top of my head. Hmm, a person can dream ...
